Public Comment on Proposed School Fees

The Board of Education is currently in the process of reviewing proposed school fees for the 2024-25 school year.

There will be an opportunity for public comment specific to these proposed fees at the scheduled Board meetings held at the JATC South Campus, 12723 South Park Avenue, Riverton, Utah on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and Tuesday, March 12 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

If these dates do not work or you cannot attend in person, you can send a direct email to your elected Board member to comment about a specific fee. Please access their contact information on our District website at jordandistrict.org/board/.

You can find the proposed fees specific to your school on this website using the above links. Please take some time to review the fees your local school has proposed. Final approval of the 2024-25 fee schedule will take place at the Board of Education meeting held on Tuesday, March 19.

Jordan School District, in coordination with schools, recommends fees to the Board of Education for authorization in order to run programs and activities for students. The school district sets maximum fee amounts in order to maintain a level of consistency and equity across the district. However, other fees can vary depending on school need. These fees are established in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Utah State Legislature and the Utah State Board of Education.

School principals have been designated as the administrators of the school fees and fee waivers. Consequently, you should direct questions regarding fees or fee waivers to your principal.
